I think DCSquares would be good if it had a pause feature. I play the game a lot during my spare time but get easily distracted by the amount of MSN contacts I sometimes get.

I've heard many complaints that a pause feature would be difficult to do because it would allow people to cheat, but I've thought of a way past that. How about, when a player pauses the game, you lock the player's square in it's current position? Then when a person wants to return to the game, he must move the cursor onto the square and click it to unlock it and continue the game.

I think this would help the game get better as it would mean a person would be able to take breaks and sort out any problems that occour and still be able to play the game. What do you think?

Well, then there'd be complaints that you can't move the mouse even when the game is paused. I 'unno... I've always thought that the way it could be implemented is that your cube makes it's way over to your mouse rather than always being where your mouse is - but that would change the gameplay a fair bit, even if it's only while it's catching up.

Oh, I do appologise - I messed up my wording a bit. I forget that the mouse pointer is also called the cursor. What I meant was that when the game is paused, your square is frozen in it's current position, and you can't unpause until you focus your mouse cursor onto the square and click it. Does that make more sense?

Let me rephrase my original idea. What I think should be done is, when you pause the player's position should be locked to the screen, and you then have to click the player square to unpause, so you'd be in (near enough) the same place upon unpausing.
