Ok, I've got a problem. I signed up to DreamZZT Online only a couple of hours ago, but I've been having problems actually playing the online games inside DreamZZT. Here are my problems:
1. When I first signed in to DreamZZT Online, I decided to view the Highscores before playing the games. But once I had, I found that every time I chose a game to play and clicked "Start a New Game", I got greeted with the message "Unable to load world." This happened several times and only stopped happening when I quit DreamZZT, then opened a new instance of DreamZZT and went back onto DreamZZT Online.
2. After playing "The Town of ZZT" Online for about ten minutes, I came off the game and tried to play another Online game. Again, I was greeted with an "Unable to load world" message, no matter what game I chose to play, even if I chose to continue a saved game! Just like the other problem above, this happened several times and only stopped happening when I quit DreamZZT, then opened a new instance of DreamZZT and went back onto DreamZZT Online.
3. After losing a game of "The Town of ZZT" Online (which I had forgotten to save, silly me), I quit DreamZZT entirely, and only went back on an hour later. I then decided to play a new game of "The Town of ZZT". However, despite starting a new game, I found that:
- All the goals I had done in the last game were already done,
- I had kept all my points - including the thirty points I had earned from collecting gems - and I was able to recollect those gems and it still added to the score!
Can anyone help me with these problems, or at least explain to me why I'm expiriencing them?
Also, I've noticed that while you are playing a game online, If you press the Debug key, it doesn't work. (Obviously this is to stop cheaters cheating to get an advantage on the highscores). However, do this more than once and it messes up the screen - click here to see what I mean. It gets worse the more times you press the button - here's what happened when I pressed it five times. What's going on?
I am using the Windows version of DreamZZT. My computer is an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 4000+ (2.10 GHz), with 896MB RAM. I am running Windows XP SP2.

The latest snapshot of DreamZZT has completely re-written network code, please try it and see if you still get "Unable to load world" messages. Snapshots can be downloaded by clicking the "Build status" tab on the DreamZZT site.
When you complete a goal, it alerts the server that you have completed it. If you start a new game, those goals will already have been completed, and you will automatically receive the points for it.
I am aware of the debug console bug and will fix it shortly.
Thanks!

When I started a new game, I was given 330 points. Can you explain this?

Umm... I can't use the new snapshot! I uninstalled the previous copy of DreamZZT and installed the latest snapshot you mentioned, but the first time I tried to play it, I got this message after it loaded. And now every time I open DreamZZT, I get this message and I have to close it down!
I've uninstalled the latest snapshot and gone back to using the one on the download page, and now I can play it again.

Ok, I've confirmed there's a problem with the way it reads the list of completed tasks from the server.. I will work on fixing it.
The DreamZZT-lite snapshot for Windows should work, I will fix the bug in the regular Windows build shortly.
Thanks!

Great! Glad to hear that it works. Let me know if you run into any other issues, I'm hoping to have a new release out in the next few weeks.

Well I'm glad to hear you are working on a new release. I've been intrested in the project since I first downloaded it six weeks ago, and I am rooting for it's continued development.
