FrotzDC 1.0 is out! This new version of FrotzDC is based on UNIX Frotz 2.43 and is now licensed under the GNU General Public License. Additional features in 1.0 include color, timed input, and limited support for sound effects.

Thanks for another release of FrotzDC, I've got a small problem though - saving!.
I can't seem to restore a save with this version, the save works (or so the screen text tells me), the save is on the VMU, when I go to restore - the screen locks up.
The previous versions of FrotzDC worked ok - I'm using the same DC/controller/VMU/Keyboard, I don't think I'm doing anything different, my controller is in slot one, Keyboard in slot two.
    Any ideas?

Does the file selector show up at all, which game are you trying to save / restore with, and are you using an official Sega VMU or a 3rd party memory card?

All controllers, keyboard and VMU's are official Sega, the game I'm really trying to play is Sherlock...
Play for a while, save - save complete, the .ini and .sav files are on the VMU.
play the game, restore, file selector shows up, select .sav, load highlights on selector - screen locks.

Other games (included in image) - .ini and .sav is on the VMU - restore, file selector shows, .sav loads ok but the games remain at the beginning of each with no score and no moves. Can't quite figure this one out? - FrotzDC V0.5 worked great with the same accessories - I deleted the .ini and .sav files from the previous version but it still didn't work?.

It looks like the file selector is causing problems with Frotz's save functions. I've uploaded a binary that has the old "Enter filename: " prompt until I can figure out where the problem is exactly. The updated binary will be available on the download page in a moment.

What can I say - Thanks!

I'm glad (in a way) it's a problem with the file selector, I've been scratching my head trying to figure out what was going on with the saves with no obvious solution.
Thanks for the update files - Frotz(DC) really is one of the best ways to play 'REAL' games (the ones where you use your brain without masses of graphic and sound info bombarding your senses) and get you truly involved in gameplay.
