For context, this is running on my old iBook Dual USB, 500mhz G3.

    First bug:
I played a game that was at least 5 minutes long (10:41-10:47), but it was reported as only ~2 1/2 minutes long. Is the clock supposed to be measuring real time? I know the speed of the game is not tied to the proc clock (so it runs well across many systems), but shouldn't the timer be at real time? At least, it gives the impression that it is supposed to be.

Second bug: If you grab an 'evil squares' bogey, all squares become deadly. However, if you miss a good square in this time (which you should, they're not good right now), it still counts it against your longest streak. This is counterintuitive because you shouldn't punish a player for not grabbing a square, when doing so would end the game, and it is senselessly punitive. It would be better if all squares in that time turned to bad squares, or if the streak counter were suspended in that time (so it behaves similarly to an invincible bogey: you don't get extra streak points for hitting bad squares when invincible).

    Thanks.

D'oh! You're right about both of those. I'll fix them for the next major version, unless enough other things crop up to warrent another bug-fix release.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Wouldn't also make sense to stop your streak upon getting a bad square though? (Also not how it is done)

If you get a bad square, the game ends. Then, the combo displayed on the stats screen and on the high score tables here is the highest combo you achieved during the game, not the last combo you had running.

Sorry I mistyped - I meant if you get one of the bad blocks that doesn't end the game.

    1. You can only be on the board once because otherwise the board would be filled up by just one obsessive user :) All of your scores are still kept in the database, and originally the website showed them all, but as I mentioned before, it just fills up with 2 or 3 users and everyone else gets bumped off. Right now it's just displaying the top score for each user.

    2. Yes, the timing on the Mac version is a little off. I'm currently working on a few other projects at the moment, so there wont be any new versions of DCSquares in the near future, unless enough other bugs crop up to warrent another bug fix release. But when the next major version of DCSquares comes out, expect plenty of fun new features! Two special annoucements should be coming shortly in the meantime.
