hoorah! - I see I won the longest time playing. Do i win something?
but really...pleeeese tell me this isn't actual time spent playing this (excellent) game? I did have it open and logged in between games - is that what is counted?
oh well - it took my mind off the bombs anyway (a couple of near-misses here in London) - thanks Sam

Haha.. yes, that's your actual time playing the game. It adds up the times of each score you submit. I think I'll adjust the page to show last week as well as this week, so people who "win" on saturday can have their 10,080 minutes of fame :)
The london bombings were terrible, I'm glad you're alright.

...nearly 5 hours - that's unbelievable! Please leave my dubious 10,080 minutes until the following week!!! I think I've run out of all that extra nervous energy now, and my performance has definitely dropped off! :?

blimey! quick or what? Sam, you're a whizz
look, somebody wasted nearly 10 hours - fantastic
I can't stop playing though :D
I have some questions - forgive if asked before:
- do squares at the edge have higher value?
- if you completely ignore combo, does it have MUCH impact on score?
- when the game seems really fast, and the number of red squares really huge and co-ordinated in their attack, is that the game... or me? -

1. Squares have the same value, regardless of their position on the screen.
2. The combo slightly increases the value of each square you collect. It's calculated by adding double the amount of your combo.. so if each square is worth 100 points and your combo is 5, the next square you collect would be worth 110 points (100 + (5 * 2)). The value of each square (and the speed and difficulty of the game) is increased every 5 squares you collect.
3. The probability of a square being red or green is always 50 / 50, and they are always positioned randomly.-Sam
