How about including different difficulty levels in a future release?

I have two daughters age 7 and 4 and both like to play, but, find the game as it stands a little difficult.

Games could be made easier, by slower nasties and/or less of them. Different high score tables could also be used.

Also with this in mind the ability to select a different User upon starting the game so as to ensure that the highscore showed the correct name (for when multiple users play on the same computer).

You have probably thought of these ideas before and I apologise if they have been mentioned before.

We should also have a lightning mode maybe? No green/black boxes - only red but keep the quantity if greens/blacks where there (example if there would be 3 black and 5 red on the screen, just have 8 reds) and make things move faster.

Both of these are planned for the next major version of DCSquares, and most of the code is already written (see the thread about the superlatives), the main challenge right now is designing a new high score page. It's got too many tabs up at the top already :) I suppose I could drop the daily / monthly tabs and have "Easy | Medium | Hard | Challenge | Weekly Superlatives". I might even move the weekly superlatives onto the news page or the side bar instead of the scores page.

I'm gonna start another thread about challenge mode.

Nice to see that you are one step ahead of me again (as you were with my previous suggestion a few months ago).
