Sam - this is just a continuation from your topic at dcemulation, as soon as the plain files are up, I'll recompile the readme etc. to correspond to the current release, I can then recompile the image with the Z-Code files. Hopefully, if all goes well, I should an image up by the end of the week for you (at the latest).

Sounds good :) Plain files and source have been uploaded to the website, you can grab them from http://www.c99.org/dc/frotzdc/

Thanks for making the images. I increased the amount of files per directory the file selector can display to 512, so go crazy :)

The image should be available very soon, it's uploaded and a page is being made, it contains 318 Z-Code files. Almost the entire IF Archive has been included, when I say almost, I mean I've left out some of the vulgar titles so hopefully we won't offend anyone plus a few others.

I'm glad you got the file selector working Sam, it was (and is) one of the best features of the later FrotzDC releases. I have noticed though, if you press any other button (apart from START) before you press START on the colour scheme menu, the DC reboots?, it's not a serious bug though, because it tells you to press START on the screen  .

I can't reproduce that here :-/ Does it happen consistantly? What devices are attached? What buttons cause it to reboot? Are you self-booting, or booting from DreamInducer?

After reporting that problem, it took me ages to reproduce it, I was testing with a standard controller, no VMU, and no Keyboard (pointless without both really).
I was testing the image for colour schemes and booting the Z-Code files, I got fed up deleting the frotz.ini and the beep noise (no batteries), so I removed the VMU, this was only because of testing for the image release. With a VMU in the controller (slot 1) and Keyboard (slot 2), everything is just fine, I didn't play the games to completion obviously, but the save/restore function works ok also in this release.

Sorry if I caused any panic over here  .

Not yet, but it is something I am looking into for future versions. Perhaps the larger font (40 column mode) will work for now?
