Hey, Sam. I downloaded DreamZZT and it's great - I was big fan of ZZT when it came out years ago (and still love it today), and it was really cool to see the game running on my Dreamcast. I have a few questions, though.
First of all, what things actually work in DreamZZT? I know that commands like #send don't work, and that objects like torches don't do anything, but it also seems like there are some new commands like ^loadjpeg. (I'm actually having a problem with ^loadjpeg - does it only work when you name the ZZT file single.zzt or something)?
Second, will you be doing any updates? DreamZZT is looking great so far, but without important commands like #send and objects like sliders, there's only so much you can do. It would be great if I could get all the great ZZT games developed over the years (Nothing Constructive, Burger Joint, etc.) onto my DC. Also, (as I'm sure you've noticed), the game crashes when you push start. Maybe you could put some kind of menu in there? I know that you must be pretty busy already with your other projects, but it'd be great if you could put some of the stuff that's missing into DreamZZT. Thanks for all you've done so far, and good luck with any future projects. -

I've been meaning to update DreamZZT for a long time, I just haven't had the time :) I did get #send working, as well as hyperlinks inside the text boxes, but I guess I never released a newer version that has these. As for loadjpeg, I'm pretty sure it looks in a subdirectory named after the filename, like single/1.jpg if the game is named single.zzt. I'll try to at least document the extra commands sometime soon, and when I get some more free time I'll try to do a new release of DreamZZT.
