the save seems to work right but after you try to restore a position, the game will not work right, you can move n,s,e,w, but it no longer understands words, it will say "i dont understand inventory" or " i dont understand get".... its wierd.

also the frotzdc looks great on my vga monitor but not so great on my tv , the first letters get cut off and it is a little blurry....

Are you using the 1.0 release, or the "fixed" binary from my site? There is a problem with saved games in 1.0 and I had to temporarily remove the file browser until I have time to fix it. If you are using the version that just displays "Enter filename: " instead of using the file browser for saving / restoring and are still having problems, let me know and I'll look into it.

i am using the fixed binary and it works fine for most games, but it doesnt work right on scott adams games (i should have put that in the message body)
the scott adams games play fine and saves fine, the problem is that when i restore a saved game, the game stops responding to commands and will only understand compass directions, you can move but you can not interact with anything.
maybee it has something to do with the fact that scott adams games are written differently, i dont know, but they save fine on my winfrotz

Could you tell me which game specifically you're having a problem with, so I can test it with UNIX Frotz here? Also, have you tried using FrotzDC 0.6? 0.6 is based on a different version of Frotz (2.32 vs 2.43) and may be more reliable.
