Hey. Just asking, I wanna get into developing 3rd party apps for the iPhone/iPod touch, as when I leave school I'm doing a course in programming and I want to learn at least 1 complex code by then. I just wanna know a few things, whether I need to have a good knowledge of Mac OS X and programming related to it (or Unix if the app uses the BSD subsystem), whether this can be accomplished in Windows, and where should I get started? Thanks.

There is currently no documentation for developing for the iPhone, so it's very very helpful to already be familiar with Objective C. It will probably be easier once Apple releases the official SDK next month.
The best way to learn Objective C is to learn how to develop for Mac OS X, though you can develop for the iPhone on Windows, too.
